If you’re asking, “How can I move to Canada as a skilled worker?” or “Can I stay in Canada after graduation?”, the Express Entry system might be the answer.

Canada’s Express Entry system is designed to select qualified individuals who have the skills and experience Canada needs. If you’re a professional, tradesperson, or recent graduate with work experience, Express Entry could be your best route to becoming a Canadian permanent resident.

To apply through Express Entry, you must qualify under one of the three federal immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, or the Canadian Experience Class. Each program has its own eligibility criteria based on your work experience, education, and language skills.

Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

This program is for skilled workers with foreign work experience. Eligibility is based on a points grid evaluating education, age, language proficiency, and experience. A job offer is currently not required but can boosts your score (Do not forget to contact us on how to get a job offer).

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

For applicants with at least 12 months of Canadian skilled work experience in the last 3 years. It is popular among international graduates and temporary workers. No minimum proof of funds required.

Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

This pathway is for skilled trades workers such as industrial mechanics, welders, plumbers, electricians, and others. Applicants need either a Canadian job offer or a provincial/territorial trade certification.
